Choosing your next agency
Is Better Properties Eastside a good fit for you?
To us, what we offer seems like the ideal situation. Simply put, we offer large commissions, and demand less of your time for things that don’t help you find and close deals. But we realize its not for everybody. A more structured environment is better for some folks. What we (and you) really need to know is, will you succeed at BPE?
How driven and self motivating are you?
If your primary motivator is a desire to earn your living based on merit, mandatory meetings and instruction from supervisor aren’t needed. BPE offers a culture for those who work better without a rigid structure, and embrace the work without a kick in the pants. If, on the other hand, you like the work but find yourself putting it off unless somebody is making you do it, you’ll probably struggle at BPE.
How resourceful are you?
In addition to the desire to profit on your own merit, you’ll need to have the chops to do it. That doesn’t mean you’re on your own --- it means that BPE is here to serve you as a resource, rather than tell you what your best move is.
We need people who know what their best move is --- and also know when they don’t know what their best move is. Our senior agents have years of experience and a collective wealth of knowledge that you can utilize. We just don’t see the merit in making a bunch of agents who already know most of it listen to us yak about it, when they could be connecting to buyers and sellers.
When you need help, we’re here. Our success rides on yours. But we’re not wasting time and resources on help you don’t need.
Are you willing to “live and die” by your own abilities?
Compared to the structured and more predictable nature of the large corporate brokers like Keller Williams, ours is a high risk, high reward approach. We’re a platform for people who don’t need a safety net, because they’re confident in their abilities. The risk, of course, is reduced by having those abilities. And the reward is huge. We let agents keep 90% of the listed commission until they pay off the lump sum of $8500 in a calendar year. Then, 100% of the commission is yours.
How independent are you?
BPE is a platform designed to foster independence. If you already know the ins and outs of the real estate game, and are looking for room to grow, you’ll find it with us.
We started BPE with experienced agents in mind, but if you value being a skilled and self reliant agent and just aren’t quite there yet, BPE might be a good place for you to learn. As long as you know your limitations and are willing to put yourself in the situations that help you overcome them, our senior brokers can provide insight and support in your real estate endeavors. You do need some experience --- typically enough to make you tired of the rigid demands and low commissions you get with corporate firms.
